Gas price cap is not ‘inevitable’
APPEA Chief Executive Samantha McCulloch says she doesn’t believe it is “inevitable” that a gas price cap will be introduced.
“Introducing a price cap on gas actually does the opposite of what’s needed,” Ms McCulloch told Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
“It will actually reduce future supply, threaten future energy security and lead to higher prices in the long term.
“Which actually hurts Australian manufacturers, it hurts Australian households.”
