Labor is cleaning up the ‘mess’ of the previous government: Treasurer Chalmers
Treasurer Jim Chalmers says the Albanese Labor government is repairing the economy with investments and cleaning up the “mess” the Opposition left behind from the previous government.
“We’re getting genuine value for money for our investments in our economy and in our people and cleaning up the mess that those opposite left behind when they left office,” Mr Chalmers said during Question Time on Wednesday.
“The leader of the Opposition … can’t hide from his record as a central figure in the Morrison government which left programs unfunded and had nowhere near enough to show for a trillion-dollars in Liberal party debt.”
