Meghan Markle wins defamation lawsuit against half-sister

Meghan Markle has won the defamation case brought against her by her half-sister, Samantha Markle.

The Duchess of Sussex was being accused of making false and malicious statements about Samantha Markle to a worldwide audience.

Markle’s half-sister claimed she was defamed when the Duchess claimed she was an “only child” in the 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview.

Samantha Markle also accused the Duchess of giving false information about her – to an unauthorised biography.

A Florida judge on Thursday dismissed the lawsuit.
