Monique Ryan waiting for Josh Frydenberg to concede

Independent Monique Ryan says she has not yet claimed victory in the Kooyong seat because she has not received a call from Josh Frydenberg to concede defeat.

When asked if she would be willing to offer confidence and supply if Labor fell short of majority, Dr Ryan told Sky News Australia she would be open to discussion.

“I will be, as I’ve said throughout this campaign, very, very happy to talk to both of the major parties and to other members of the crossbench to secure effective action on climate change and on integrity and transparency in government,” she said.

“Which effectively means an ICAC.

“So I’ll speak to Mr Albanese if he’d like to talk to me about those things, but I would only provide confidence and supply if I’m offered the appropriate security about action on climate change and action on an ICAC within a set period of time.”
