King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla have landed in Germany.

The three-day trip aims to secure the UK’s relations with Europe after the decision to leave the bloc.

The military welcome started mid-air with jets escorting the King into Berlin, where a gun salute and fire and flypast marked his arrival.

“Together as friends and partners, we are now looking ahead, and that is why we are very consciously starting this state visit with the topic that is crucial for all of our futures on this planet,” German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier said.
