Young Taylor Swift Fan Ecstatic After Mother Buys Concert Tickets

A young Taylor Swift fan jumped for joy on Tuesday, November 15, after his mother purchased tickets for the singer’s upcoming tour. Video by mother Brittany Andrus shows her 10-year-old son’s excitement. On learning the news, he bursts into Midnight Rain, a song from Swift’s new album Midnights. Andrus had earlier posted another video showing her son singing along to a Swift song. “Then all the people that commented were begging me to get him tickets and show his reaction when and if I did,” she said. After five “brutal” hours waiting on Ticketmaster, Andrus got five tickets for a show in Nashville. Presale tickets for a handful of dates for the US leg of Swift’s tour went on sale that afternoon. After fans reported the Ticketmaster website crashing or freezing as they tried to buy, Ticketmaster released as statement saying there was “historically unprecedented demand”. The company said hundreds of thousands of ticket were sold and asked fans to “hang tight” if they were waiting in the virtual queue. Swift announced her upcoming tour on November 1. She describes it as “a journey through the musical eras of my career (past & present!)”. Credit: Brittany Andrus via Storyful
