Schools buses are back on the road Monday as Ottawa elementary and secondary studentsreturn to in-person classes.

Yellow school bus and van service for kindergarten to Grade 12 will be reinstated Monday as OC Transpo resumes service to secondary schools, the Ottawa Student Transportation Authority said. Students with special needs will continue to receive transportation to OCDSB and OCSB system classes.

All students from grades 1 to 12 are required to wear a face mask and it’s recommended that kindergarteners wear a mask, on all vehicles, including school buses, vans and wheelchair buses.

Drivers will be stopping at every stop on their route to ensure no students are left behind, OSTA said, warning parents to note that “there may be delays and cancellations due to the short turnaround time.”
