Getting around: Three in hospital following Carling Avenue crash; Road closures for Stage 2 LRT work

The Ottawa Paramedic Service said three people were taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Carling and Alpine avenues Friday morning.

No details were immediately available about their condition but their injuries were not considered life-threatening.

A fourth patient was assessed but refused to be taken to hospital

Expect road closures for Stage 2 LRT construction if you’re getting around by car this weekend while the O-Train Line 1 is replaced by bus service Sunday.

On Highway 417, ramp closures for Stage 2 LRT roadwork include:

  • The westbound on-ramp from northbound Pinecrest Road closes nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. until Friday
  • The eastbound on-ramp from northbound Moodie Drive closes nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. until Saturday
  • The westbound on-ramp from southbound Pinecrest Road closes from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Saturday

On Highway 174, the eastbound on-ramp from northbound Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard will be closed from 10 p.m. Monday until 5 a.m. Tuesday.
