Monday’s forecast calls for a bit of everything, with a maybe-or-maybe not chance of showers and a risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and then again in the evening.
There will be a high of 24 C, falling to 18 C this afternoon with a low of 15 C overnight and another risk of thunderstorm. The UV index is 5 or moderate. The humidex will peak near 29.
Looking ahead, there’s a chance of showers on Tuesday morning with winds gusting up to 40 km, then with clearing skies in the afternoon and a high of 22 C.
Slather on the sunscreen because the UV index will be 8, or very high.
Wednesday and Thursday are shaping up to be perfect days as we head into summer, sunny with highs of 24 C and 26 C, respectively. Expect cool nights with lows dropping between 10-12 C.
Friday will start out fine with a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 27 C, but — wouldn’t you know it? — periods of rain will move in overnight with a cloudy day and showers predicted for Saturday.
While the heat waves of the past few weeks have seemed like the new normal, this week’s temperatures are more like the seasonal average, which is a high of 24 C and a low of 14 C.
