Pedestrian, 74, struck and killed on Hwy 105 in Chelsea

A 74-year-old Chelsea man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle while walking along busy Highway 105 in Chelsea at about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday.

According to police, the collision occurred near Ditchfield Street in the town’s Larrimac district.

Traffic was detoured between Hwy 5 and Scott Road exits on Hwy 105 for the police investigation.

The collision remains under investigation.
