Police trying to ID suspect in Jan. 11 robbery on Laurier Avenue East

The Ottawa Police Service’s robbery unit is looking for help to identify a suspect in a robbery reported on Jan. 11 in Sandy Hill.

A man is alleged to have walked into the business in the 200 block Laurier Avenue East at about 11:40 p.m., demanded cash then fled on foot, according to a release from police Friday.

No one was hurt.

The description released is of a white man in his late 20s or early 30s, and about five feet, nine inches tall with a heavy build. He wore a brown jacket with white trim, a black toque with white writing on the front, a dark hooded sweatshirt, blue construction-style pants with yellow and blue straps, and dark boots. He carried a black bag with red trim.
