For the month of Ramadan, which began on March 22 and ends on April 20, we are putting together a list of restaurants in Ottawa with extended or updated opening hours to accommodate those fasting.

During Ramadan — the ninth month in the Islamic calendar, marked by lunar phases and the crescent moon — many observing Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset, breaking fast with a meal called Iftar.

Phynicia Restaurant
Location: 605 Longfields Dr. in Barrhaven.
Operating hours during Ramadan: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and then 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. throughout the week.

Location: 3-1940 Bank St., south of Walkley Road.

Operating hours during Ramadan: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and then 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. every day of the week.

Sub Town
Location: 1600 Walkley Rd.
Operating hours during Ramadan: Noon to 3 a.m. Monday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Sub Town is offering special meals every day for Ramadan. It also offers a variety of halal and vegan options. Link to menu.
Ariana Kabab House
Location: 424 Rideau St., in Lowertown.
Operating hours during Ramadan: Noon to 10 p.m. Monday to Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
A special buffet is being offered this month from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Ariana Kabab House also has halal and vegan options. Link to menu.
Juice Dudez
Location: A-91 Richmond Rd., in Westboro.
Operating hours during Ramadan: Open from 11:30 a.m. to midnight Monday to Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday, noon to 1 a.m. on Saturday and noon to midnight on Sunday.
