Elderly woman dies after rescue from burning house
The London Fire Brigade rushed to a home in Netherhall Gardens, Hampstead, at around 7pm yesterday evening (Tuesday, January 31).
The brigade alerted police at 7.32pm. Met Police officers attended alongside London Ambulance Service paramedics.

The woman was brought out of the address by firefighters and received immediate medical care.
Sadly, despite the best efforts of the emergency services the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Efforts are under way to locate and inform her next of kin.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined. A cordon will remain in place while an investigation is carried out.
