Police appeal for victims of fake ‘naked game show’ to come forward | UK News

Police want to speak to more potential victims of a man who allegedly convinced people to take part in a fake naked game show.

Two men have so far come forward to say they went to hotels to take part in nude “challenges” as part of the hoax programme.

The suspect, 29, is believed to have kept the footage for his own gratification.

He was arrested in January 2019 on suspicion of voyeurism and released under investigation.

Metropolitan Police said that in June 2018, a 28-year-old man came forward to say a man had convinced him to go to a hotel in Newham, east London.

He allegedly claimed to be from the entertainment industry and offered the man the chance to win £5,000.

A second victim, 31, was identified in February this year and said he was coerced to go to a southeast London hotel in August 2013 to take part in similar activities.

Sergeant James Mason, of the Met’s North East Basic Command Unit, said: “We believe there may be more victims in relation to these events.

“I urge anyone who may be a victim of similar crimes or incidents from 2013 to the present day, to come forward with information.

“The reported incidents took place several years ago and it is important we are able to investigate these and support any further victims.”
