Adam Cole is not leaving WWE anytime soon

Over the last few weeks, there have been rumors going around about what the future holds for Adam Cole in WWE.
Pwinsider.com reports that Cole has over 18 months left on his current deal. Thus, fans shouldn’t expect him to leave WWE anytime soon.
It was previously reported that Cole’s deal with the company was slated to expire in September. With that, there was speculation as to what he would do once his contract was slated to expire as he has the option of going to AEW where his long-time girlfriend Dr. Britt Baker is currently wrestling.
However, Cole will have to wait longer if he does want to leave the company.
As seen Sunday’s NXT TakeOver: In Your House special in Winter Park, Florida at Full Sail University on the WWE Network, Cole successfully retained the NXT Title over The Velveteen Dream in a Backlot Brawl.
Since Cole retained the title over Dream with the stipulation that if Dream lost then he can’t challenge for the title as long as Cole is champion, it appears that Cole will be sticking around in NXT for now.
Prior to this special, Cole spoke about what’s next for him in WWE. You can check out that interview here.
