Matt Cardona made his National Wrestling Alliance debut tonight, showing up at the company’s Hard Times 2 event and sending a message to Trevor Murdoch in the process.

Cardona arrived at ringside shortly after Murdoch had defeated Mike Knox in an NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship match. Much to the surprise of those in the ring, Cardona strolled down and appeared to be ready to congratulate Murdoch. However, with Murdoch turned around and facing Cardona, Knox quickly delivered a low blow to him.

Mick Foley — who was also on hand for the match — quickly said that he thinks Cardona sucks, and that he had a gift for him in the form of Da Pope, who came down to attack Cardona. Unfortunately for him, Cardona quickly knocked him down from behind as he brawled with Knox. Cardona then threw Pope into the steel stairs at ringside before climbing in just as Knox delivered a nasty kick to Murdoch’s face. With Murdoch out, Cardona picked up the Heavyweight Championship and posed with it, holding it up and smirking to the audience.
