The New Day Gets Split Up After SmackDown Tag Title Win

Following Big E’s victory over Sheamus tonight, both Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods returned to SmackDown to celebrate with their friend and battle it out for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships. However, after taking down Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro to become the champions once again, The New Day got heartbreaking news, as they were split up in the WWE Draft.
The match itself was a big one, and despite Nakamura and Cesaro having the upper hand early, it was Kingston and Woods’ championship experience that won out. The duo was able to take down Nakamura and Cesaro to reclaim their championships, but things quickly went south. Immediately after the win, Kingston and Woods were drafted to Monday Night RAW, and Big E was drafted to Friday Night SmackDown, splitting up The New Day for the first time in a long time and leaving the duo shocked in the ring.
