It looks like the official @WWEonFOX Twitter account has confirmed the identity of the SmackDown hacker.
You will recall that there were mysterious videos appearing on SmackDown with a distorted voice but there appeared to be no payoff to the angle and there has been no mention of the hacker for several weeks.
This week during WWE Monday Night Raw, Mustafa Ali revealed that he is part of the Retribution stable and he ordered them to attack The Hurt Business. The announcers wondered aloud if this was always the plan and they speculated that Ali has been behind the group all along.
After the angle on Raw, the @WWEonFOX account tweeted the following: “[email protected] with the #RETRIBUTION HACK! #WWERaw”
This appears to be further confirmation that Ali was indeed the hacker. Dave Meltzer reported a few weeks ago in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the hacker storyline was for Ali.
