Get the most out of your Disney Plus experience
Disney Plus offers great content for kids and adults at affordable prices. With a monthly subscription of $6.99, you gain access to many TV shows and movies from 20th Century Fox, Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, and National Geographic. And, by stretching a little to $12.99-per-month, you get a bundle that includes Disney Plus, ESPN+, and Hulu.
Disney Plus is available via IOS and Android apps, but you can also stream it online or use devices like PlayStation 4, Apple TV, Xbox One, and Chromecast.
With so much content available on one service, and subscribers in 30 regions, it is time to learn some hacks to help you have the best viewing experience on Disney Plus. Let’s look at some of these hacks.
Profiles for parental control
Other than choosing which Pixar or Marvel character to be, there are other important uses of the profiles menu. Suppose you have young ones, especially those with a deep understanding of the remote control, it’s good to set up the kids’ profile. The kids’ profile doesn’t showcase non-PG content, meaning the occasional potty-mouthed Marvel movies are blocked, as the animated Disney and Pixar films and shows are placed in front and at the center of the home page.
Disney Plus downloads
Just like Amazon Prime Video and Netflix, you can actually download Disney Plus movies on your laptop or mobile and enjoy them later, even without an internet connection.
You should, however, note that the only thing you can watch offline is feature-length entertainment. You will be able to watch movies and documentaries, from National Geographic to Marvel films, but you won’t watch TV series when offline.
The download symbol is next to the “Watchlist” key on the landing page. Downloads remain in the “Download” segment for the whole duration that you are a subscriber, and you are allowed to download the same film or show as many times as you want. The only prerequisite is to connect your device to the Disney Plus web servers at least once every 30 days.
Shared Profiles for Shared Viewing
Having individual profiles for every household member means you will know exactly what you’ve watched, where you are in the series, and your content genre preferences when you log into the system. Therefore, you will get accurate suggestions of what you can watch next.
However, if you watch a particular series with another person, you can create a joint profile alongside your personal one.
Personalized Subtitles
While most streaming services offer their users various audio and language options, the level of personalization available on Disney Plus is striking. Besides choosing your most desirable subtitle language, you can change other details, including background, text color, and font to your liking. Simply select the subtitles button on the show’s active screen, hit the settings button to display all the available customizing options, and choose whatever you want.
Stream with a VPN
Even with its popularity, excellent streaming, and exclusive shows, Disney Plus is not accessible globally.
Those in areas where the service is not available need not worry, though. They can access it by downloading a VPN to connect to the different server location where the service is available and watch their favorite movies and shows from anywhere in the world.
Whether you are new to Disney Plus or just want to streamline your experience, the above tips will help you get the most out of your subscription.
